Muidan is a modern, premium solid color within the PG Bison range, specifically featured in the high-end MelaWood SupaMatt and SupaGloss collections. It is often described as a sophisticated, warm off-white or light stone shade.

Aesthetic and Texture

Muidan is a versatile, contemporary neutral. It is warmer and deeper than a standard “Iceberg White” but remains much lighter than “Dunblane Grey.” It serves as an elegant, muted foundation that works well in luxury minimalist designs.

• SupaMatt Finish: This is arguably the most popular version of Muidan. The finish is ultra-matt and silky to the touch. It utilizes advanced technology to provide an anti-fingerprint surface, making it highly practical for dark or neutral-toned kitchens where smudges are usually a concern. The reverse side of the board typically features a matching color in a Natural Touch finish.

• SupaGloss Finish: In this format, Muidan takes on a glass-like, reflective appearance. The gloss enhances the subtle warmth of the color, creating a high-end, luminous feel. The reverse side of these boards usually comes in a matching Peen (stippled) finish.

• Modern Kitchens: Used for floor-to-ceiling cabinetry to create a soft, monolithic look. It is a popular choice for “handleless” kitchen designs where the texture of the board is the primary focus.

• Reception Desks and Shopfitting: Frequently used in retail and office settings to provide a clean, premium backdrop that doesn’t distract from products or branding.

Recommended Pairings

Muidan is a “universal” neutral that complements a wide range of materials:

• With Woodgrains: It pairs beautifully with natural, light-to-mid woodgrains like Aden, Arden, or Natural Oak. The warmth of Muidan highlights the organic tones in the timber.

• Monochromatic Layers: Combine it with Summer White (lighter) or Dunblane Grey (darker) for a sophisticated, layered monochromatic palette.

• With Stone Textures: It looks exceptional next to concrete-look finishes like Luca Polenta or marble-inspired designs like Napoca.

• Hardware: It is highly compatible with brushed gold or champagne hardware for a soft luxury look, or matte black for a crisp, modern edge.

• Core: Typically bonded to a high-quality SupaWood (MDF) core to ensure a perfectly smooth surface for the SupaMatt and SupaGloss coatings.

• Standard Size: 2750mm x 1830mm.

• Standard Thickness: 16mm (other thicknesses like 18mm may be available in specific regions or for specialized orders).

• Protective Film: Boards are supplied with a protective film on the face to prevent damage during transport and installation; this should be removed within one month of installation.
