Foundry is a bold, industrial-inspired finish within the PG Bison MelaWood SupaTexture collection. It is designed to emulate the raw, rugged aesthetic of cast iron and weathered metal, fitting perfectly into contemporary urban and industrial-luxe design schemes.

Aesthetic and Texture

Foundry is characterized by its very dark, almost charcoal-black palette with subtle, multi-tonal variations that mimic the imperfections of forged metal.

• SupaTexture Finish: As part of the SupaTexture range, Foundry features a deep, tactile structure. It is not a flat color; it has physical “highs and lows” that create a grainy, organic feel. This texture allows the surface to catch and diffuse light, giving it a three-dimensional depth that standard matte black cannot achieve.

• The Look: It provides a moody, masculine, and grounded appearance. While it is intensely dark, the textured surface prevents it from feeling “flat” or “plastic,” offering an architectural weight to the cabinetry.

• Statement Cabinetry: Ideal for large pantry doors, full-height units, or a feature kitchen island where the raw, metallic look can serve as a focal point.

• Commercial Spaces: Its durable, dark surface makes it a popular choice for high-end retail counters, hotel reception desks, and restaurant fit-outs.

Recommended Pairings

Foundry’s dark and heavy nature is best balanced with warmer or smoother materials:

• With Woodgrains: Pair with Natural Oak, Bellavista, or Northridge. The warmth of the wood acts as a perfect foil to the “cold” industrial look of Foundry.

• Contrast in Texture: Combine it with Muidan or Summer White in a SupaMatt finish. The juxtaposition of the rugged Foundry texture against a silky, smooth matte surface creates a highly sophisticated look.

• Hardware: Best suited to matte black hardware for a monochromatic, stealthy look, or brushed copper and bronze to highlight the industrial “forged” aesthetic.
