Azzano Profile
Azzano is a sophisticated, light-to-mid tone woodgrain from the PG Bison MelaWood Expressions range. It is part of the Natural Touch collection and is widely regarded as one of the most versatile “modern oak” finishes available.
Aesthetic and Texture
Azzano is characterized by its balanced “oatmeal” or “biscuit” color palette. It sits perfectly between the very pale Northridge and the warmer, more golden Bellavista.
-
Natural Touch (NT) Finish: As a synchronized (SIR) finish, the physical texture of the board is perfectly aligned with the visual woodgrain. You can feel the subtle ridges and pores exactly where you see them, giving it the authentic look and feel of real timber veneer without the maintenance.
-
The Look: It features a refined, linear grain with soft, elegant cathedrals. It has a “washed” appearance that feels clean and contemporary, avoiding the heavy yellow or red undertones of traditional oak.
Design Applications
Azzano is a “safe” yet stylish choice that works in almost any interior setting:
-
Japandi & Scandi Interiors: Its neutral, light-wood tone is the cornerstone of these design styles, providing warmth without cluttering the visual space.
-
Modern Kitchens: Frequently used for lower cabinets or large island units. It works exceptionally well in open-plan homes because it complements most timber flooring.
-
Commercial Fit-outs: Its professional and calm aesthetic makes it a popular choice for office desking, wall cladding, and reception areas.
Recommended Pairings
Azzano acts as a perfect neutral “bridge” between different colors and materials:
-
The “Clean” Look: Pair with Summer White or Muidan. This creates a bright, airy feel that is soft on the eyes.
-
The “Architectural” Look: Combine with Storm Grey or Kalapana. The contrast between the organic wood and the dark solids is sharp and modern.
-
With Stone: It pairs beautifully with Luca Polenta (concrete look) for a soft industrial vibe.
-
Hardware: Best suited to matte black for a crisp modern edge, or brushed nickel for a more subtle, timeless appearance.
