How to identify genuine PG Bison boards:
Edge Markings: Check for “MelaWood” or “BisonLam” stamps on the board edges.
LifeSeal Worktops: The “Formica LifeSeal” stamp is located on the underside of the board.
Sheet Size: Standard genuine sheets are 2750mm x 1830mm (imports are often smaller).
Thickness: Ensure the board is exactly 16mm. Many counterfeits are 15mm, which causes hardware like hinges to fit poorly.

BisonBord: A high-quality particleboard used primarily for kitchen and cupboard carcasses.
SupaWood: An MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) with a smooth, fine surface ideal for deep routing and high-gloss finishes.

How do I clean MelaWood & SupaGloss?
Best Method: Use a soft, lint-free, damp cloth with a mild soap and water solution.
Avoid: Do not use abrasive pads, furniture polish, wax, or harsh chemicals (acetone, bleach, ammonia).
Protective Film: Keep the film on SupaGloss/SupaMatt until installation is finished, but remove it within 6 months to prevent adhesive transfer.
How can I Maintain Formica LifeSeal Worktops?
Heat Protection: Always use a trivet or heat mat; placing hot pots directly on the surface can cause “blistering.”
Cutting: Never cut directly on the laminate; use a cutting board.
Water: Wipe spills immediately, especially near joins and sink cut-outs.
